MWASA provides several services under the Commonwealth Home Support Programme (CHSP) to people aged 65 years old and above from the culturally and linguistically diverse (CALD) background.

Our aim is to build a community of independent and engaged seniors through quality and enriching programs that promotes ageing awareness, active ageing and continuous learning while befriending seniors.

Our services enable older people to participate in community life and feel socially included through structured, group based activities that meet their needs for social and company. 

CHSP INITIATIVES

  • Information sessions
  • Excursions and recreational activities
  • Support and advocacy
  • Programs are conducted fortnightly at our office’s meeting room
Programs are conducted every fortnightly from 11AM to 1.30PM at Level 4, MWASA.
There is nominal fee of not more than $15 is required to join our CHSP programs. Excursions and trips will be charged accordingly.
 
FEEDBACK
MWASA supports the right of client to give feedback in order to improve our services without fear of retribution or losing services. If you are dissatisfied with the outcome, you may appeal to the Aged Care Complaints Scheme at 1800 550 552.
 
PRIVACY
MWASA maintains confidentially and clients’ privacy at all times in accordance with the Privacy Act and clients’ information can be made available upon request.

HOW TO SIGN UP

My Aged Care is the entry point for all community aged care services. 

You will need to be assessed by My Aged Care Regional Assessment Service (RAS) before you can access our services.

Here is what you can do:

  • Call My Aged Care on 1800 200 422
  • Let us refer you

Call us at 8212 0800 and we can arrange a time to assist you with the process. Once you have the approvals, you can choose MWASA as the provider of your services.

If you wish to join our activities for seniors, please let My Aged care know that MWASA is your preferred provider.
